Every one of our ships features its own unique twist on Carnival-style fun. In standard cabins, Carnival provides a bar of soap and in the shower, dispensers with body wash and shampoo. Spa cabins have upgraded Elemis amenities and Family Harbor cabins have split bathrooms, one with a junior tub and sink and the other with shower, toilet and sink. In the marketing copy, they say you’ll get a room in the category you book or higher, so they make it sound like you can pay for an Interior room, and you’ll get automatically upgraded to a balcony when the time comes.
Will you be entertaining in your room and need a dining table that can seat six or eight? Do you want benefits like being the first in line to get on or off the ship? Do you want to be pampered with extra-plush linens and bathrobes, fancy bath products and in-suite coffee and booze?
While the smaller ones might feel a tad snug, they offer unbeatable value, especially for those who plan to spend most of their time exploring the ship’s amenities. While Carnival Celebration is a big ship that rides the seas well, for guests with seasickness issues, cabins to avoid would be those that are far forward or in the back of the ship as they experience more movement. Also, staterooms on mid to aft Decks 15, 9 and 5 might be subject to noise due to their proximity to busy public areas.
